The grounds of Bunratty Castle are now called the Folk Park. There are lots of genuine and replica farmhouses from throughout the history of Ireland, complete with people in period clothing working with tools and livestock; New England in the USA has places like this. Fortunately, we were there in January and the park was mostly empty of visitors and workers alike, so no one tried to sell us leather tankards or horseshoes. This was a great little pond ringed with stones near a barn. It looked to me like a vision pond, where you could see glimpses of the past and future, or like the magic ponds in the C.S. Lewis Narnia books.
