I went to Ireland in late January of 2000 because I was invited to be the guest of honor at WarpCon in Cork, a gaming convention. These photographs are a bit out of order, however, so we'll be skipping around the trip as we go. I could sort them into a proper travelogue but it's more fun this way.

This is at the Cliffs of Moher on the west coast of Ireland, County Clare. The cliffs are a massive sheer drop into the ocean with a gorgeous view--unless you arrive during intense fog, in which case you can see nothing but an incredible wall of white with a distant roar of surf. It felt like standing on the edge of the world.
